I think it’s important to note that millennials don’t appear to realize that there is no such thing as “free.” Free healthcare, free lunches, free cell phones- SOMEONE always foots the bill.

Surely it’s not that government stifles progress, holds people in poverty, invades privacy, wastes enormous amounts of money, regulates businesses into oblivion, attacks religious liberty, and erodes personal liberty. No, it’s just that “cynical geniuses” in the Republican party have tricked…

Uh, sorry Mr. President, but I don’t like government because:
A) Despite what many politicians in Washington believe, nobody knows what is best for me better than I do.
B) I live my life on a set budget, also known as my salary. I despise the fact that our federal government continues to spend money it doesn’t have.
C) While we’re on the subject of salaries and expenditures, I hate that I give up approximately 23% of my income to the government. I will continue to see a rise in my tax rate as I age and don’t see our debt decreasing anytime soon. I will be paying off that debt for the rest of my life.
D) Lastly and most importantly, I resent the fact that you implied that because I don’t like a large federal government that I have been brainwashed. I am a hardworking, educated, and intelligent woman, Mr. President. I am fully capable of thinking for myself and reaching conclusions without being told what to think. I personally think you are a moron.
