This article was written by 14 women in the House of Representatives.  You should also look up the infographic published by the president that it references. It’s interesting and refreshing to see women speaking out loud and clear about their significance in our nation’s economy and the great importance they hold in it. 

As a woman, I resent the implications behind the infographic.  Are women supposed to spend their whole lives dependent on the government to get anywhere in their lives?  Women are currently making more of an impact in the economy AND workforce than men.  We are independent and forceful.  Why do I need the government holding my hand every step of the way then?  Just food for thought.
